Coaching or Hypnotherapy?Coaching and Hypnotherapy are two different things. Which one is most suited for you depends on your personal situation.Coaching is a great way to help you achieve personal or professional goals. During coaching sessions, you and your coach identify the issues that block you from reaching your full potential or goals. Your coach will help you tackle your issues one by one. Coaching is a dynamic and interactive way of accompanying people on their journey. The goal is to try and get the best out of someone's potential. When you are being coached, you are working with knowledge you already possess. See coaching as working from your inside world to the outside world. You go 'from the inside to the outside', while with hypnotherapy you go 'from the outside to the inside'. |

How does Hypnotherapy work?In hypnotherapy we use trance to gain access to the knowledge which is stored in the subconscious. Trance is a form of deep and directed concentration. Everyone has experienced trance before. For instance, when you are daydreaming or so completely drawn into reading a book, watching a movie or playing a computer game, you are so concentrated on the activity of that moment, that you don’t even notice when someone enters the room or asks you something. Such experiences are called 'everyday spontaneous trance'. It is a state of high and deep concentration. In hypnotherapy we use this state of concentration, this trance. The therapist guides the client to his or her inside world so the client can exclude the outside world and make contact with the inner world where problems are situated and resources and answers are hidden. The answer lies within the client. New insights, possibilities and solutions can evolve so that a new path can be explored and integrated in the life of the client. In contrast to what is often thought, the conscious part remains an observer and the client can fully hear and react to everything that is said. You are still in control, even if you are in trance. |
